Listening to: Gagliarda - Mannheim Steamroller

I know it's weird to be listening to Christmas music in April but I did this song as a calm-me-down (I was getting stressed over stuff, so overwhelmed I couldn't do my homework. To loosen myself up so I could concentrate, I made this pic).

Anyway, I was having a hankering to create some original characters (gonna have to when I get in the field. Besides, I've been doing nothing but working with fancharacters and future network executive fodder) so this character came into my head that night. That song, "Gagliarda," had a somewhat enchanting effect on me and led to her inspiration. You can tell I'm a fantasy freak (obsessed with fantasy, loved it since I was a little girl).

So here's Gagliarda (yes, I named her that for a lack of a better one), dancing around in the enchanted pond in an airy sea of fireflies, her little wings (I made them too yellowish so it didn't become transparent enough when I used the Background Eraser tool) spreading little pink fairy dust as she goes. I haven't really developed her (though I kinda plan to give her some siblings named after the other parts of the suites in Johann Schein's "Banchetto Musicale," where her namesake comes from).
